47th Annual Heritage Ball

On November 19, 2022, at Chateau Luxe in Phoenix, the Polish American Congress of Arizona is honored to host our 47th Annual Polish Heritage Ball.  The theme for this year’s celebration is “Polish People Open Up Their Hearts”.  As Polish people, we knew how big our hearts are, but starting Thursday, February 20 the entire world learned this to be true.  We want to pay respect to those that opened their doors, the ones that were at the border way before any organization showed up with aid, and many more.   On a local level, we want to honor the work of three people.  Since 2010, Anna and Andrzej Adamczyk have been creating documentaries of Polish events happening in Arizona including our Ball.  This year we asked them to come as guests only and both unanimously responded, “We will be there with our cameras.”  You can follow their work on their YouTube channel. Next is the very humbled Dr. Chris Hiler who not only serves as a doctor and a boss for many Polish people but also way more.  Many of us and thousands more have seen the exhibit hall at the Annual Polish Festival at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish but not too many know that Dr. Hiler had a huge part in getting that started. He donated his personal collection of portraits of every Polish King and has supported the exhibit hall ever since. Dr. Hiler and his entire family had a big part in the expansion of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School which is attended by many Polish children as their first step in getting an excellent education.  At this year’s Ball, we will also honor last year’s recipient University of Arizona Professor Dr. Jerzy Rozenblit.   This year our chairwoman like in the past is Sylvia Gladkowska and based on her experience we know Ball will be a great success. We are extremely excited about the program Irena and Slawomir Wozniak and their Master Ballet Academy are creating exclusively for this Ball.  We also cannot wait for other performing acts throughout the entire evening.  We also hope you will come on an empty stomach because there will be wonderful appetizers and an elegant complete dinner.
